The Patient Companion I reviews and follows patient care instructions provided by charge nurse/nursing professional, clarifies any patient questions, monitors the patient, and notifies nursing staff of the need for patient assistance or when leaving patient’s bedside, to maintain a safe environment for the patient. This position also reports pertinent patient information and changes in patient condition to the nursing staff.
