Description The Patient Coordinator is responsible for managing the patient experience from the initial contact through treatment and follow-up. This role ensures smooth administrative operations in the front office while providing excellent customer service to all patients. The Patient Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for patients and plays a key role in managing appointments, patient flow, and ensuring a positive patient experience. Experience & Key Responsibilities: Manage patient departure processes, including scheduling follow-up appointments, processing payments, assisting with insurance matters, reviewing treatment plans and ensuring accurate documentation. Provide a positive final interaction to support patient satisfaction and proper billing. Answer phones and schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule appointments while optimizing provider time and accommodating patient needs. Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments. Address patient questions and concerns professionally using strong interpersonal and communication skills. Cross-train in claims processing and billing functions to support front-office operations. Participate in ongoing training to maintain proficiency in office policies, systems, and best practices. Perform additional cross-trained duties as assigned by management to support efficient office operations, including assisting with special projects or events when needed. Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. 1-3 years of experience in a dental office preferred Claims processing experience preferred Experience with dental practice management software and scheduling systems (Eaglesoft preferred) Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service.
