JOB TITLE: DENTAL FRONT OF HOUSE (MATERNITY COVER – LIKELY FOR PERMANENT ROLE)

Location: Canary Wharf, London
Job Type: Temporary, Full-time (40 hours per week)
Expected Hours: Monday–Friday (8:30–5:30 or 9:30–6:30) + 1–2 Saturdays per month (8:30–6:00)
Pay: Dependent on experience
Start Date: August 2025 (sooner for the right candidate)
End Date: Late October / Early November 2026 (with potential to become permanent)

About the Role We’re excited to offer a temporary maternity cover role starting August 2025 (with the possibility of an earlier start for the right candidate). This is a fantastic chance to join a supportive, award-winning practice and play a vital role in our front of house team. While this role is initially temporary, there is strong potential for it to become permanent based on performance and mutual fit and thereby opportunity for increased responsibilities.
You’ll be the first friendly face our patients see, so professionalism, warmth, and confidence are key.
We provide thorough training and ongoing support to help you settle in quickly and feel confident in your role. You’ll be fully included in our close-knit team, participating in daily activities, meetings, and social events because we believe every team member matters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide a warm and professional welcome to all patients
  • Manage bookings, emails, and calls using Software of Excellence (Exact)
  • Process payments and carry out end-of-day cashing up
  • Handle switchboard and multi-line call systems
  • Support clinical team and contribute to the smooth running of the practice
  • Deliver consistently 5-star customer service
  • Handle sensitive information with care and professionalism

What We’re Looking For Essential:

  • Previous experience as a dental receptionist using Software of Excellence (Exact)
  • At least 2 years experience in a front of house/reception or customer service role
  • Well-presented, polite, and articulate (fluent spoken and written English)
  • Confident, calm under pressure, and able to multitask
  • IT literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail)
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working 1–2 Saturdays per month (with a day off in lieu)
