Patient Driver in Brevig Mission Purpose of Position: Provide ground transportation for hospital and clinic patients to and from the airport and to and from the hospital/clinic for the elderly and handicapped in Nome in a safe and professional manner and will ensure the vehicle is clean at all times.  Uphold the organization’s vision, mission, and corporate values. Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with organization’s policies, procedures, code of conduct and work rules. Essential Functions: * Provide ground transportation for hospital and clinic patients to and from the airport and to and from the hospital/clinic for the elderly and handicapped in Nome in a safe and professional manner * Maintain a professional behavior and attitudes in regards to customers, visitors and coworkers  * Provide other transportation services such as delivery of business documents and checks needing signatures and outgoing packages to the airlines as needed * Keep switchboard operator adviced of whereabouts to ensure efficient patient transportation * Assure vehicle maintenance and cleaning, report all problems and/or concerns to the Maintenance Department and immediate supervisor * Assist with various materials management support activities as required * Perform other duties as assigned Personal Traits: All Norton Sound Health Corporation employees are expected to consistently demonstrate the organization’s values: integrity, cultural sensitivity and respect for traditional values, continual learning and improving, compassion, teamwork and pride. Job specific skills and abilities are listed below:  * Above average customer service skills Minimum Requirements Education Degree Program High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience General (Non-supervisory) Supervisory Amount: 1 year(s) working in a service environment, hospital setting preferred, and 5 years driving experience  0 (years) Type:   Must have both general and supervisory experience if indicated. Credentials Licensure, Certification, Etc. Valid Alaska Driver's License Must be at least 21 years old  Must have an acceptable driving record without any major violations or no more than two minor violations in the last three years.
