About the teamThe Peter Mac Patient Experience and Wellbeing Department manages a range of high-impact work in three streams: patient experience, consumer engagement, and wellbeing. We are a diverse and motivated team that shares a goal of improving the care experience of people with cancer. This role sits within the wellbeing workstream. About the roleIn this newly created role, you will lead the delivery of patient-facing services in our innovative pilot program designed to support cancer patients to increase their participation in work, during and following treatment. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will provide individualised vocational and return-to-work support while contributing to the refinement and evaluation of this evolving model of care. It is an exciting opportunity to have a tangible impact on patients’ lives, while shaping the role and project as we continue its development. This position will deliver the patient-facing services of our work participation project. It will involve individualised patient assessments, coordination of services, and collection of service data. The position involves regular interaction with patients, clinicians, employers, and other stakeholders. This is a part-time, fixed-term position at 4 days per week (0.84FTE) until 30 June 2027.
