Are you passionate about making a difference to patient experience? Sodexo Health and Care is seeking a Patient Experience Ambassador to act as a vital link between our service teams, clinical staff, and patients. This role is crucial in capturing patient feedback, identifying service improvement opportunities, and ensuring continuous enhancement of our soft service provisions, including patient dining, cleaning, and portering.
This position requires flexibility and the ability to travel between Colchester Hospital, Ipswich Hospital, and various community sites. The successful candidate will need to manage their time effectively to ensure a consistent presence across all locations, addressing patient needs and liaising with multiple teams.
You will play an important role in brightening the day of those in patient care and making a positive impact in their daily lives. You will have responsibility for ensuring that a patient’s experience of the services we provide is as positive as can be, increasing engagement with patients and clinical staff.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Engage with patients, visitors, and clinical teams to collect feedback on their experience of our services.
  • Identify areas for improvement and collaborate with service leads to implement solutions.
  • Utilize digital platforms to record and analyse feedback data, producing reports on trends and recommendations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle patient interactions with empathy and professionalism.
  • Work closely with operational teams, Business Directors, and Trust representatives to align service improvements with stakeholder expectations.
  • Contribute to enhancing hospital service ratings, such as CQC assessments and Hospital PLACE scores.
  • Promote a positive Sodexo image, acting as the ‘voice of the patient’ within the organization.
