Description
The Patient Experience Coordinator is responsible for timely resolution and response to complaints and grievances in accordance with the established procedures. The work involves timely coordination and resolution of grievances/complaints initiated by NEVHC patients. The Patient Experience Coordinator demonstrates consistent excellent quality and thoroughness of work and a high degree of attention to detail as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. Reports to: Director of Managed Care & Enrollment Qualifications: 1.    High school graduate or General Educational Development (GED) Certificate.  Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.  2.    A working knowledge of performing grievance resolution and Medi-Cal or Medicare in managed care environment, preferred. 3.    Some knowledge and understanding of Medical Terminology, preferred.  4.    Thorough working knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, and contemporary general office practices and procedures. 5.    Math skills sufficient to prepare routine spreadsheets, calculate/balance invoices/expense reports, and similar. 6.    Computer skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.), and database systems. 7.    The Practice Management Information access level is 2. 8.    Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and others.  9.    Effective work organization skills.  10.    Sensitivity to the different cultures represented among members and staff. 11.    Demonstrated ability to listen and communicate with others in a professional and caring manner including sensitivity with individuals from diverse cultures and lifestyles. 12.    Demonstrated ability to set priorities for tasks to work effectively in spite of interruptions and under minimal supervision.   Self-starter, reliable and dependable.  13.    Fluency in English (speaks, read, and write). 14.    Fluency in Spanish (speaks, translate, read and write). 15.    Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality about health care and other patient/client information. 16.    Current California driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage and a driving record acceptable to the NEVHC’s insurance carrier (if required to drive on the job).  Northeast Valley Health Corporation provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
