JOB SUMMARY

  • The Patient Financial Services Representative performs all tasks related to billing payers such as:
  • Medicare, Commercial Insurance, Blue Cross, Hospice, Home Health and/or Medicaid for services rendered to PACHS patients
  • Performs all functions with the objective of maximizing reimbursement to the health system and ensuring the claim is paid/settled in the timeliest manner
  • Utilizes available data and resources to make decisions for completion of claims processing. Includes work involving accounts receivable and general ledger entries
  • Duties are performed in a manner that is consistent with health system philosophy and policy in areas relating to accounts receivable, public relations, and third-party relations.
  • Miscellaneous clerical work

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Previous billing/data processing experience preferred
  • Intermediate Computer Knowledge
