To view more details about the comprehensive benefits package we offer to eligible employees visit our website - Benefits - KV Healthcare www.kvhealthcare.org Job Description Responsible for analyzing Home Health & Hospice medical records to ensure supporting billing documentation is in place, certification periods are met and clinical documentation is within industry guidelines and Medicare requirements; reviews documentation and applies appropriate code for billing; obtains insurance verification and prior authorizations; monitors and works daily billing errors and A/R; participates in the creation and implementation of standard work for daily, weekly and monthly document verification and chart audits. Provides patient scheduling for field clinicians. Qualifications What is required... High school diploma or GED One year of patient account billing What is preferred... AA or Bachelor’s Degree Previous experience in medical billing with commercial insurance and Medicare/Medicaid Previous experience in a medical records environment Previous medical office experience with exposure to medical records, scheduling, high volume phone systems and medical transcription Experience in home health and hospice coding and billing Certified Coder Bilingual; English/Spanish Additional Information Wage: Wage range currently starts at $21.42/hour and goes up to $32.47/hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience. This position may also qualify for an additional 15% premium in lieu of benefits.
