Description Summary/Objective: The Patient Services Coordinator is responsible for managing patient scheduling, coordinating intake processes, and providing administrative support within a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) setting. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and professional experience from initial referral through delivery coordination. The ideal candidate is highly organized, patient-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Duties/Responsibilities: Essential: Coordinate and schedule patient appointments for evaluations, fittings, and deliveries Manage inbound and outbound patient communication Perform patient intake, including collecting insurance information, and required documentation Accurately enter and maintain patient information in EMR systems Monitor and manage workflow queues (WIPs), ensuring timely progression of patient orders Conduct required patient outreach attempts in accordance with company policies Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions Track patient orders and follow up on missing or incomplete information Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and healthcare regulations Non-Essential Provide a gold standard of care to all patients Assist with general office administrative tasks Support special projects or operational initiatives as assigned Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and process improvement efforts Provide backup support for other administrative roles as needed Perform other duties as assigned that support the mission and goals of the organization Preferred Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-3 years of experience in a medical office, DME, or healthcare administrative role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide constructive feedback and training. Ability to sit for extended periods Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., files, office supplies, or product samples). Ability to travel to other offices when needed. Must be able to communicate effectively via phone, video conference, and in person.
