The Hospital of the Sisters of Mercy in Vienna is a highly specialized clinic for the entire digestive tract, urology, oncology, and psychosomatic medicine. More than 55,000 patients are treated there annually, both as inpatients and outpatients.

The staff in the patient administration department work closely with the doctors and nursing staff in our outpatient clinic to ensure a smooth process.

To support our highly motivated team, we are seeking two dedicated and professionally competent employees for 35 hours per week each . We are looking for individuals who value compassionate care, patient-centeredness, and respectful collaboration within an interdisciplinary team. One of the two positions is intended as maternity leave cover until July 31, 2027.

Your responsibilities

• Patient administration (especially in the reception & admissions area as well as at the control centers for radiology, endoscopy and ZAE)
• Independent execution of organizational and administrative tasks
• Operation of the telephone exchange and the ambulance telephone
• Scheduling and agreement
• Diagnosis and medical report writing from dictation
• Teamwork with all professional groups for the benefit of the patients
• Deputy functions in other control centers

Your qualifications

• Completed training as a medical administrative assistant or completed commercial training or high school diploma (commercial apprenticeship, HAK, HASCH, HBLA or similar)
• Experience in medical administration is a requirement.
• Good PC skills (SAP knowledge is an advantage)
• Excellent spelling skills and touch typing.
• Excellent knowledge of medical terminology
• Flexibility and teamwork
• Proactive, independent work, even in stressful situations
