Job Overview We are seeking a professional who will be responsible for completing FMLA, disability and other medical leave forms for Urology of Virginia patients and their families on a timely basis. Duties and Responsibilities Process all paperwork for patients of Urology of Virginia and/or their family members for various leave programs (FMLA, short/long term disability, permanent disability, work notes or other papers as needed Adhere to all FMLA and state guidelines for disability Phones: answers telephone within 3 rings in a courteous and friendly manner. Returns calls on the same day. Leaves no voice messages in the mailbox at the end of the day Informs manager and physician of any potential conflicts or patient complaints/concerns Assist patients with signing of consents, explaining orders and any other patient instructions at the time of the hospital work-up visit Greet patients in a professional and courteous manner Requirements High School graduate or equivalent One to three years of medical administrative experience Strong customer service skills Knowledge of medical terminology Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation for completing various medical forms Ability to manage patient phone calls in an efficient, courteous, and timely manner Must be able to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels Equal employment opportunity for all is a very important philosophy for our practice.
