Description
The Patient Safety Consultant is responsible to assist the Patient Safety Manager in the development and implementation of patient safety/clinical risk initiatives throughout the enterprise to support a High Reliability Organization (HRO) Patient Safety culture of excellence. Specific focus will be toward the identification, review, and elimination of preventable medical errors and other factors that contribute to unexpected adverse patient outcomes and dissatisfaction. Works collaboratively with key stakeholders and leadership to identify and enhance patient safety practices. Provides on-going support, education, and facilitation to meet and exceed patient safety related regulatory and evidence-based practices, including the National Patient Safety Goals issued by The Joint Commission.
