ABOUT THE ROLE

Drug Health Services (DHS) aims to reduce the harms associated with substance use for individuals, families and communities and to prevent drug misuse. Our Mission is to deliver evidence based and patient centred care in collaboration with other health and non-health partners to improve the health outcomes of individuals, their families and broader community. Services are provided at Canterbury, Concord Repatriation General and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals and at Canterbury, Marrickville and Redfern Health Centres. Selected programs offer services in community and via approved outreach arrangements.
The Patient Safety and Quality Manager provides leadership across the Drug Health Services program to ensure the principles of patient safety and quality improvement are embedded at an organisational level with the aim of providing high quality, safe and cost-effective patient care. This includes preparing services for accreditation, coordinating incident management, leading clinical investigations, advising on quality assurance and quality improvement processes, directing policy framework, managing patient experience processes and coordinating complaints management.
