Description Here at AO Multispecialty Clinic, the Patient Scheduler at Check Out serves as a receptionist for all exiting patients. A Patient Scheduler checks patients out, schedules their future appointments and other ancillary appointments, and can often serve as a liaison between the patient and the provider. Requirements Major Duties and Responsibilities Check out patients Schedule follow-up and outside referral appointments for patients (scans, etc) Give patient copy of appointments made and/or Visit Summary Sort and distribute mail Reschedule appointments as needed Fill in for Patient Registration at Check-In as needed Experience and Education High school graduate or equivalent 1+ year of medical office experience preferred Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office programs Skills and Abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with patience and compassion Ability to effectively multi-task Ability to comply with OSHA and HIPAA policies Exceptional interpersonal skills
