Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Job Summary Responsible for scheduling patients requiring admission, diagnostics and/or treatment services. Ensures that all referrals are received and reviewed for accuracy, staffed properly/timely, and entered into computer-based scheduling system. Essential Functions All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Receives telephone requests for services and referrals. Follows protocols for "day of", prep instructions, emergencies, and rescheduling. Maintains required logs: referrals, referral sources, missed visits, and complaints. Coordinates the scheduling of patients requiring admission, diagnostic procedures and/or classes. Gathers required patient demographic, clinical and financial information and related information as required by the referral/central intake form(s). Coordinates appointments and/or classes with the appropriate clinical and clerical staff. Participates in the payroll process to ensure accuracy, completion, and legibility of time slips. May be responsible for the recruitment / hiring process and on-call responsibilities, if supporting the agency. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive. Minimum Requirements Education - High School diploma or equivalent preferred Experience - Two (2) years of related work experience preferred In Lieu Of NA Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses NA Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of scheduling procedures Knowledge of services offered to provide accurate scheduling of clients.
