Description Now Hiring – Patient Scheduling Associate II Location: Fort Myers, Florida – On-site (3660 Broadway) Status: Monday – Friday Schedule: 8:30am-5:00pm Radiology Regional is one of the largest physician-driven diagnostic imaging providers, with 13 imaging centers in Southwest Florida. We are seeking a dynamic person with a passion to care for others in the communities we serve. For over 50 years we have earned trust and confidence because of their patient care experience. Position Summary Responsible for scheduling, canceling, and rescheduling of patient exams for multiple imaging center locations by collecting and processing accurate patient demographics and clinical information in accordance with Radiology Regional protocol pertinent to the requested exam. Responsibilities are performed via phone and computer in a call center setting with a high volume of daily calls and fax requests from patients and/or referring physician offices. Performs other related duties with the job classification or organizations as necessary or as assigned by management. Essential Job Responsibilities · Accept a high volume of inbound calls and schedule patient exams according to physician RX orders with the ability to balance scheduling priority and patient need aligned with RRC policy, scheduling guidelines and medical appropriateness while ensuring accuracy in a timely manner. · Complete outbound calls to schedule patient exams when a RX is received on unscheduled patients aligned with RRC policy, scheduling guidelines and medical appropriateness while ensuring accuracy in a timely manner. · Follow up on all patient and referring physician inquiries. · Respond to all calls with courtesy and professionalism. · Required to maintain a minimum daily average of 50+ scheduled exams with a minimal error rate. · Consult with referring physician offices to ensure written and/or electronic orders (RX) exist and obtain them as needed; verify completeness of RX once written or electronic RX is received. · Manage and escalate priority issues; route calls and questions to appropriate resources. · Communicate relevant information to the scheduling team lead, supervisor and/or management to maintain continuity of care. · Assure that patient rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, and civil rights are maintained. · Maintain confidentiality of all classified and sensitive information and records, including patient care information by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). · Attend and participate in seminars, in-service educational classes, staff meetings and on-the-job training programs as required. · Work and manage outbound work queues · Maintain and optimize existing schedules daily · Proficiently manage MDM incoming faxes · Provide job-shadowing, including answer questions, as needed · Required in-office work up to three times a week as needed. Requirements Knowledge & Skill Requirements Required: High School Diploma or GED Required: Computer experience and ability to type a minimum of 35 wpm Required: Radiology specific experience Required: Proven track record of accurate and efficient work
