Summary This position is an entry level role in the Scheduling department. The main function is providing support to the team and to route incoming calls from physician offices and patients to the scheduling team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. • Answer incoming calls that come in to the Centralized Scheduling call center. • Answer questions from the incoming calls: Locations Hours of operation Verify appointment dates, times and location Know what procedures are performed at what sites Reroute calls back to the operator if they are questions that don’t pertain to scheduling Route calls to correct representative so that the caller (patient or physician’s office) can get an appointment for the exam that they need. • All other duties as assigned. Qualifications / Education / Experience • High school graduate or GED preferred. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Problem solving techniques and skills. • Great phone and phone etiquette abilities. Able to communicate clearly to establish cooperative relationships with patients, families, physicians and team members. • Previous office experience, preferred. • Knowledge of some medical terminology, preferred.
