Job Details Job Location: 213 West 35th St SCIF Clinic - New York, NY Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: $20.50 - $20.50 Hourly Description JOB SCOPE: Oversees day to day front desk operations of the clinic, scheduling, and billing. Provides excellent customer care. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Answers clinic phone line during business hours and makes reminder calls as needed Communicates with insurance companies in regards to referrals, prior authorizations and other insurance related issues Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends. Maintains office condition and requests repairs as needed Provides general support to the clinical staff Under the guidance of front desk supervisor manages clinicians’ and prescribers’ schedules. Covers front desk as needed Takes clients’ referral information, triages urgency of the appointment, verifies insurance Runs and distributes reports as assigned by an administrator and clinic supervisor. Other duties as assigned by Clinic Director and Clinic Supervisor. Qualifications SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Microsoft Office Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong organizational and system tracking skills Ability to work independently Ability to effectively manage time Ability to engage client population Ability to utilize multiple EHR systems Ability to demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and initiative Ability to handle multiple tasks and shift between responsibilities Ability to work effectively with others and maintain positive professional relationships with service providers in the community. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor or Associate’s degree preferred Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience
