Description High Risk Obstetrical Consultants is looking for a full-time experienced Patient Service Representative (PSR) for check-in. Position is based in Johnson City. Candidates must have experience with answering incoming telephone lines, scheduling, and checking patients in and out. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Greet patients in friendly and timely manner. Present a positive attitude, professional appearance, and willingness to learn Ensure that patients complete necessary forms required for medical chart and billing office Coordination of office visits with other OB practices and clinics Answer patient inquiries regarding patient registration information or billing questions Refers patient inquiries regarding medical care or treatment to medical assistant or physician Ensures good patient flow through practice by timely processing of patients as they arrive at office Comfortable with asking patients for appropriate co-pays and balances due Working with medical records Effective communication with team members including providers Other duties as assigned including cross training for check out Compliance with HIPAA, OSHA and all other office policies and procedures Forwarding of medical records as requested by providers Requirements 1 – 2 years’ experience in medical office setting Willingness to be cross trained in other job functions Ability to multi-task and learn various roles within the front office Sitting, walking, working on a computer, and lifting up to 10lbs
