Description MILLIGAN SURGICAL VEIN CLINIC is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Patient Service Representative (PSR) for a medical office located in Morristown, TN. RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE FOR: Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone. Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients. Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations. Maintain confidentiality of all doctors, staff, and patient information. Schedule appointments between doctors and patients. Adhere to policy and procedures during all activates. Ensure that patients complete necessary forms required for the electronic health record and billing office Ensures good patient flow through practice by timely and accurately processing of patients as they arrive at front office Answer patient inquiries regarding patient registration and surgery information Refer patient inquiries regarding medical care/treatment to medical assistant or physician Document scanning, faxing, documenting into electronic health record Other duties as assigned Hours: Monday - Friday - 8AM-5PM Full benefit package, including PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, Life Insurance, 401k, and more! Requirements High school diploma or GED. Experience working in a medical office required. Insurance knowledge to obtain precertification for in- office surgeries Working knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance plans preferred. The ability to type and file accurately. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Good telephone etiquette.
