As a Full - Time Urgent Care team member, you will enjoy contributing 3 12-hour shifts, including weekend rotations and paid holidays allowing you plenty of time for friends, family, and self-care! Patient Service Representative – Urgent Care – Pantops The Patient Services Representative is the welcoming agent for patients into the urgent care center and collects necessary information to initiate the urgent care visit. The registrar communicates and models the mission and values of Bon Secours. Essential Job Functions Collect patient information and co-pays required to initiate an urgent care visit and document such information within the electronic medical record (EMR). Answers phone in a manner consistent with Bon Secours standards of excellence, appropriately routes calls, schedules patients, and enters necessary information for patient scheduling into the computer system in a timely and accurate manner. Follows front end revenue cycle check-in standard work including Obtains registration from patients and accurately enters required information into the computer system, secures signatures on all required forms and updates information accordingly, Registers patients in a timely and accurate manner, collects missing information from the patient, Collects necessary co-pays and/or collection balances from the patient. Maintains a safe and supportive environment by keeping the work area, supplies and equipment clean, orderly, and safe manner, ensuring availability and proper functioning of supplies and equipment. Participates as an active member of the patient care team, including attendance at clinical huddles. Reconciles cash drawer at the close of the day. Schedules follow-up appointments and/or assists with scheduling other services for patients. Employment Qualifications Education Qualifications Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED Minimum Qualifications At least one year of face-to-face registration or Customer Service experience. Strong oral communication skills, good attention to details, and an ability to multitask.
