We offer our patients a seamless system of integrated medical care, including in-house specialists in areas of practice from cardiology to podiatry. We offer unique services such as our nuclear stress testing facility. We handle everything from medical records to appointment scheduling, and offering laboratory services on site. We are looking for an experienced Patient Service Representative /Referral Coordinator to join our team in Towson! Our ideal candidate will provide excellent internal and external customer service, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be a team player, and have 1-2 years experience in a medical office setting. Experience in a high volume call center is a plus as this position supports our New Patient Appointment Line. Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm Location: 515 Fairmount Avenue, Towson, MD 21286 Duties of this position include but are not limited to the following: Processes patient referrals for specialty medical appointments according to insurance company policies and requirements. Responds promptly to referral requests sent via company email and within the EMR system. Answers incoming calls in a timely manner offering prompt and courteous service to all patients. Assists new patients with establishing care at any one of our 3 office locations. Verifies insurance , eligibility, and benefits. Provides administrative reception for the corporate business suite. May provide back up support for the Switchboard Operator when needed. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent At least 1 year of Medical Office experience, 2 years is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical insurance and referral procedures. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment. Experience with EHR systems - Nextgen is a plus. Ability to convey a professional image and maintain confidentiality.
