Description The Patient Service Representative will perform administrative and clinical duties under the direction of the medical practitioners. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs, medical histories, rooming patients and retrieving phone messages for providers. Administrative duties include making referrals, entering histories into the electronic medical records system, and other duties as assigned. Education: High School diploma or equivalent. License/Certification: Must be CPR/BLS certified (current certification) Experience: Two or more years' experience in physician practice, medical billing or health insurance industry Experience in a pediatric center preferred; Experience with children with special needs preferred Knowledge and ability to work in accordance with clinical standards Requirements Job Requirements: Must be able to work well with others. Always poised, courteous, pleasing personality Good telephone voice and manners – works well with the public Excellent computer and data entry skills including typing speed and accuracy Fast learner and detail oriented Ability to be flexible and multitask in fast paced environment Attention to detail and excellent follow up Ability to provide excellent service in demanding situations. Ability to work with families and children with special needs Excellent team player, engaged in delivering mission driven results
