Description University Physicians' Association is seeking qualified applicants for a Patient Service Representative (PSR) for a primary care medical office located in Knoxville, TN, UT Internal Medicine Pellissippi. Job Type: Full-time, Monday – Friday 8A-4:30P Candidates must be detail-oriented and able to work under deadlines in a very fast-paced office. Applicants must be familiar with giving instructions, processing orders, and making the patients their top priority. This position will work closely with physicians to provide a seamless patient experience. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Greet patients in friendly and timely manner Ensure that patients complete necessary forms required for the electronic health record and billing office Maintain patient demographic and insurance information; verifies insurance eligibility and collects co-pays Ensures good patient flow through practice by timely processing of patients as they arrive at front office Answer patient inquiries regarding patient registration information or billing questions Refers patient inquiries regarding medical care or treatment to medical assistant or physician Schedules patients with appropriate physician Document scanning into electronic health record Other duties as assigned Full benefit package available, including PTO, Sick Time, Medical, Dental, Vision, STD/LTD, Life Insurance, 401k with company match and immediate vesting, and more. Requirements 6-months to 1-year previous medical experience is preferred.
