This is a full-time, front-desk position ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about providing outstanding customer service in a healthcare environment. What You’ll Do As a Patient Service Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive a seamless, welcoming experience from start to finish. Daily responsibilities include: Greeting and assisting patients and visitors with a warm, professional attitude Managing patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and check-in/check-out procedures Handling phone calls and inquiries with courtesy and accuracy Performing point-of-service tasks such as co-pay collection and visit preparation Supporting patients with NextGen Patient Portal setup and use Encouraging adoption of front-end technology for a smoother care experience Maintaining patient confidentiality and data accuracy at all times What We’re Looking For High School Diploma or GED required 2+ years of experience in patient registration, medical front desk, or customer service (healthcare preferred) Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy medical office Associate degree may substitute for one year of experience; Bachelor’s degree may substitute for two years Why Choose Meridian HealthCare At Meridian HealthCare, we believe in taking care of our employees as well as our patients.
