Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY:

As a Patient Services Administrator, you will act as the central administration hub for Apodi projects. You will liaise with Apodi nurses, patients and their carers as well as the homecare delivery company and Healthcare Professionals in the NHS. You would be involved in processing adverse events, maintaining accurate data, and supporting the project teams in achieving excellent patient satisfaction. The role is critical in supporting the delivery of safe, effective and patient centred care through administrative excellence, telephone support and digital systems. Our office is based in Maidenhead, and this is a hybrid role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a first point of contact for patients and carers delivering a professional and empathetic service.
  • Manage Referral Process: Utilise the Apodi Patient Management System to book appointments into nurses’ diaries, handle and process incoming and outgoing telephone calls, managing patient referrals received from the NHS.
  • Documentation: Process and upload relevant paperwork to the patient management system and send paperwork to Hospital Trusts.
  • Weekly Reconciliation: Ensure all patients have been contacted and added to the patient management systems.
  • Adverse Event Data: Assist in the co-ordination and documentation of pharmacovigilance activities including inputting accurate data onto the Radar AE system and actively process adverse events daily.
  • Data Entry: Assist with data entry into relevant systems (patient data, patient appointments, clinic report forms and adverse events).
  • Communication: Answer telephone lines efficiently, process any requests as required and support with incoming and outgoing post.
  • Mailbox Management: Assist in managing the mailboxes
  • Contribute to audits, data collection and reporting to support quality improvement initiatives.
