Description

Due to expansion of our team, Park Practice GP surgery is looking to recruit a full-time/part-time Patient Services Administrator to work as part of our excellent and well-established team at Park Practice. Part-time applicants will need to advise on their application what hours they are looking for or we will assume that they are applying for a full-time position. The right person will have the skills and ability to work in a busy and demanding environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The majority of the work will be telephone-based, which will require the successful applicant to deal with high call volumes whilst maintaining a professional and caring manner.
We are a friendly and busy training practice delivering care at our modern, purpose-built premises in Eastbourne. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive IT knowledge and at least 2 years’ experience is a Receptionist / Customer Service role. Experience of working in a GP practice or a medical environment would be an advantage but most importantly, we are looking for enthusiasm and the ability to project a positive and friendly image to patients and visitors at the practice.
Your role as a Patient Services Administrator will require you to be the face of the practice. You will work in a very fast-paced environment and the role will include answering the telephones, manning the reception desk, processing prescriptions, dealing with queries or carrying out administrative tasks.

    Our hours of business are 8.30am-6.00pm Monday – Friday. We also open 6.00pm-8.00pm on a Monday and Wednesday. The successful applicant will be expected to work one of these evenings as part of their contracted hours.
    Starting salary for this role will be £12.21 per hour for applicants aged 21 and above.
    Starting salary for this role will be £10.00 per hour for applicants aged 18-20.
    Please note that the annual salary displayed is an Indeed-generated amount based on WTE of 37.5 hours.
