You will work within our busy and enthusiastic Patient Services Team, which is an integral part of the day-to-day running of the surgery.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent communication / telephone skills
  • IT skills (particularly IT booking system and email)
  • Resilience to work in a busy environment involving high call volumes
  • Customer service experience
  • Professionalism
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Flexibility
  • GSCE Maths / English or equivalent C or above
    Previous experience in a similar role in general practice would be an advantage, but not essential, as training is provided.

WORKING REQUIREMENTS

  • We offer a set shift pattern on Full Time Hours
  • Shifts Will Be a Mixture of 07:30 / 08:00 - 16:00 or 10:30 - 18:30
  • Total shifts = 5 Days per week
  • Total hours = 37.5 hours per week
  • Ad hoc overtime required to cover absences
Responsibilities
  • Call handling - managing queries and assisting patient in completing an online form
  • Admin tasks - prescriptions, change of address forms etc
  • Front desk - greeting and helping patients as they arrive at the surgery
  • Team working - effective collaboration to ensure completion of shared tasks
