About the opportunity

Exciting opportunity to join our Environmental Services Department. We are seeking qualified, motivated Patient Services Assistants to join our Environmental team in Mental Health. You will be an integral member of our team and provide patient centric cleaning duties, food & beverage services, and patient support.

  • Part time shifts working various hours.
  • Dayshift, Afternoon shift, Night shift.
  • Weekend shifts available.
  • Located at Werribee Mercy Hospital .
  • Responsible for ensuring that Victorian Public Health cleaning, and Food Safety standards are met.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Health Services Assistant Certificate lll, or equivalent, or working towards completing.
  • Current Food Handling Certificate.
  • Excellent customer service skills and have a passion for attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work within a team environment.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to understand Patients’ diet codes.
  • A commitment to policies and procedures in order to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff and members of the public.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
