SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient-centred care and possess the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or an equivalent qualification.
  • Recent experience working in an acute hospital setting.
  • Sound understanding of hospital operations and medical terminology.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster across seven days, including evening, overnight, and on-call shifts.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Pindara Private Hospital is currently seeking dedicated and motivated individual to join our Patient Transport team as Patient Services Assistants. We have a casual opportunity available.
This position plays a key role in supporting the safe and efficient transport of patients throughout the hospital, including to and from operating theatres and other clinical departments. It also contributes to the overall functioning of the hospital by providing high standards of service and patient care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the safe transfer and transport of patients between departments.
  • Provide manual handling support using approved mobility aids.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergency calls as directed by clinical staff.
  • Clean and maintain departmental equipment in accordance with infection control standards.
  • Assist patients upon arrival and ensure their comfort during the admission process.
  • Undertake cleaning tasks in patient rooms and common hospital areas as required.
  • Support the provision of basic patient care in collaboration with clinical staff.
