Will need to be onsite 1-2 days a week. ***Ideal candidate will have general billing/coding knowledge in follow up and denials*** General Description Under general supervision, the Patient Services Billing Specialist provides foundational customer service support for professional billing within a centralized Epic billing office support model. Essential Job Duties Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Respond to inbound patient inquiries related to professional billing, statements, balances, and requests. Provide basic explanations of charges, payments, and insurance processing using Epic tools. Collect and post patient payments according to policy. Document interactions and route complex issues for escalation. Meet productivity, quality, and customer service standards. Maintain respectful, professional, and empathetic communication with patients. General Job Duties Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements (Level 1): Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Experience: At least 1 year of medical insurance experience required. Certification/License/Registration: None required. Minimum Requirements (Level 2): Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Experience: At least 3 years of physician billing experience required. Applied expertise in professional billing customer service workflows. Certification/License/Registration: Certified Professional Biller (CPB) certification from AAPC required within 1 year.
