Job Description: Fitzroy location Challenging and rewarding work environment 2 x permanent, part time (6 days/fortnight & 5 days/fortnight but flexible) About the Role The Patient Services Clerk is accountable for providing clerical support and facilitating patient management to the Cancer Centre. The PSC will be involved in admitting and discharging patients, booking outpatient clinic and treatment appointments, reception duties, delivering customer service of a high standard and providing high level administrative assistance to the Cancer Centre. This position will include a wide range of duties including handling medical records and patient information, high level administration, public and MBS billing, dealing with telephone enquiries, filling of medical records, making appointments and liaising with patients, doctors, nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team. Accurately enter patient admissions, attendances, discharges, appointments and referrals in the Patient Administration System (PAS) and complete all relevant paperwork. Accurately enter patient treatment bookings into PAS and Mosaiq (Booking System). Ensure cancer reception email inbox is managed appropriately by priority. Ensure timely management of telehealth video calls for outpatient appointments. Accurately enter electronic billing for MBS clinics and ensure correct referral criteria. Ensure all discharges and patient contacts are completed by end of shift. Ensure all outpatient appointment transport and interpreters are organised Provide a high level of customer service by handling patient and enquires via telephone and in person, in an efficient, courteous and helpful manner.
