As a Patient Services Coordinator you’ll performs all activities and functions with within the centralized Patient Access Center, including but not limited to centralized scheduling for practices and providing high quality customer service. This is a full-time hybrid role involving 8 hours weekday shifts, no weekends schedule. We operate in a busy, fast-paced environment, and we seek a candidate who thrives under such conditions. Selected Responsibilities: Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments Greeting/Assisting patients promptly, efficiently, and in a professional manner on the phone Obtain, verify, and input all patient information accurately in the system Take and check messages and relay messages to the appropriate staff members. Scheduling patients for appointments, rescheduling appointments, as well as coordinating walk-in patients according to office protocols Accurately register new patients and update patients’ accounts by compiling accurate information and facilitating the completion of required paperwork Explain fees, services and policies Act as a liaison between patients and providers, facilitating communication and ensuring a smooth patient experience Assist patients with financial responsibilities such as collecting co-payments, deductibles and co-insurances Post patient payments into the system Assist with other centralized services such as prior authorizations Appropriately escalate messages to practice staff, such as office managers, providers or medical assistants Act as a resource for patients and their caregivers, answering questions and addressing concerns in a friendly and professional manager Guide patients through the Avance Care system, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate department and service Candidates should have a high school diploma required, but associate’s degree preferred.
