POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Services Representative – FT is responsible for providing exceptional front-line customer service to patients, families, and visitors. This role includes scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate patient records. The representative serves as a key liaison between patients and clinical staff, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience throughout the patient journey. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and empathy. Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Collect co-pays, balances, and provide receipts. Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries or route appropriately. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EHR. Assist with patient registration and check-in/check-out processes. Resolve patient concerns or escalate to appropriate personnel. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies. Support clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed. Participate in training and quality improvement initiatives. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred. Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare or customer service setting. Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. Commitment to patient satisfaction and confidentiality.
