We're looking for a compassionate, customer-focused Patient Services Representative (PSR) / Optometric Technician who enjoys working directly with patients and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. In this hybrid role, you'll be an essential member of our Optometry team, providing both front office and clinical support throughout the patient experience. From welcoming patients and coordinating appointments to performing diagnostic testing and assisting providers during eye exams, you'll play an important role in delivering outstanding care while helping our clinics operate efficiently. What You'll Do Front Office & Patient Services Welcome patients, visitors, and callers with professionalism and compassion. Schedule appointments, coordinate patient flow, and manage check-in and check-out processes. Register patients and accurately update demographic and insurance information within the electronic health record. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Assist patients with forms, patient portal enrollment, and general questions. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area. Clinical & Optometric Support Perform preliminary testing including visual acuity, tonometry, auto-refraction, auto-keratometry, color vision, and stereo acuity testing. Conduct diagnostic imaging and testing such as OCT, fundus photography, and visual field testing. Prepare patients for examinations and accurately document clinical information. Clean and disinfect examination rooms and ophthalmic equipment between patients. Maintain examination room supplies and monitor inventory levels. Assist with equipment maintenance, calibration, audits, and regulatory requirements.
