Description Tri-Century Eye Care is hiring a full-time Patient Services Representative to support our fast-paced ophthalmology practice. What You'll Do Welcome patients, check them in, and ensure a smooth and friendly experience Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments Verify insurance coverage and process patient payments Handle billing questions and assist with financial inquiries Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) Serve as a communication hub between patients, clinical staff, and insurance providers Provide excellent customer service and resolve patient concerns Complete administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and document management Bristol/Langhorne only: Perform ancillary testing, including visual fields and auto-refractions Support daily office operations to keep patient flow running efficiently Perks & Benefits Starting at $19/hour, based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance (group plan + complementary vision plan) 401(k) with employer contribution and profit-sharing after 12 months Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Uniform reimbursement Employer-paid group life insurance Voluntary Life, AD&D, and disability coverage Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Benefits begin the 1st of the month after hire (some after 90 days) Requirements What we're looking for 1+ years of experience in a medical office, healthcare administration, or customer service Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills Comfort working in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent Proficiency with basic office software Familiarity with EMR systems and medical terminology is a plus Experience with insurance verification or medical billing preferred Prior ophthalmology experience is helpful but not required — we will train the right candidate Additional Details Mix of desk-based work and active patient interaction Must adhere to HIPAA and maintain patient confidentiality Travel required between Bristol and Langhorne offices (based on home office) Reliable transportation is necessary
