Educates patients with regard to financial options for services. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication that is clear, well-organized, and demonstrates an understanding of patient needs. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Greets patients, answering questions, booking appointments, facilitating patient requests. Oversees patient flow. Responds to request and inquiries from the patients and the general public in person and over the phone and via email. Maintains provider schedules. Collects all insurance information, verifies patient demographics, educates patients on financial options/cost for services, processes payments, posts patient balances, and completes daily patient call backs. Monitors and optimizes systems that meet staff communication utilizing a multi-line phone system, email, fax machine, printer, copier, and scanner to process patients through the Trillion Health & Hormone process. Maintains a neat and clean work environment and professional appearance and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures. Discharges patients, assists office and clinical staff, and closes office at end of day. Requirements Positive, motivated, efficient, team player. Excellent ability to communicate, follow up, and keep organized. Confident having financial discussions with patients. Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure. Strong knowledge of email composition and communication. Knowledge of computer software, and the ability to learn billing software, and electronic medical records required. Prior experience in fast paced service industry or customer service role preferred. Prior experience in a medical office setting preferred but not required.
