JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a confident and organised Patient Services Team Leader to join our friendly and supportive team at Chapelthorpe Medical Centre. This is a key role supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the patient services (reception/admin) team, helping us deliver a high-quality, patient-centred service.
The successful candidate will lead on task management, team coordination, and front-line service delivery, working closely with the Operations and Business Manager. You will also be responsible for low-level HR processes, such as return-to-work interviews and performance discussions.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise, support and motivate the patient services team
  • Manage task allocation and ensure timely, accurate completion of work
  • Address initial performance concerns and support staff development
  • Improve systems and processes to enhance service delivery
  • Act as a first point of contact for informal complaints and team escalations
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g. CQC, GDPR)
