A superb opportunity has arisen to join the Patient Services Team at Elvington Medical Practice.
Main Purpose of Job:
1. Primary interface to all patients; handling telephone calls, arranging appointments and communicating with patients
2. Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of computerised patient record
3. Meeting and greeting all visitors attending the practice
4. Ensuring smooth running of appointment system
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring that the reception area is a calm and professional front of house
Signposting patients to the best practitioner within appropriate timescales
Handling all manner of patient queries

As part of the Patient Services Team may include:

  • Allocating document workflow on a rostered basis
  • Registration of patients
  • Maintaining practice document templates
  • Signposting patients to the best practitioner within appropriate timescales
  • Handling all manner of patient queries

Provide excellent customer service (polite and clear communication with patients)
Analyse data and succinctly code health events

Job Duties:

  • Answer incoming customer inquiries
  • Stay up-to-date on new products, services, and policies
  • Collect and report customer feedback to ensure that best practice is recognised and maintained
  • Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner while actively listening to their concerns
  • Offer support and solutions to customers in accordance with the company’s customer service policies
  • Other duties as requested
