JOB SUMMARY

The Patient Support Care Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for patients within our healthcare facility. This position involves coordinating patient care activities, managing associate AI appointments technology, and serving as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, drive to work independently and a commitment to providing exceptional service to enhance patient satisfaction.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in an office environment is essential, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
  • Proficiency in using office software applications
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A compassionate approach towards patient care, with a focus on enhancing the overall patient experience.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Pass in GCSE English and Maths is essential
  • Must be willing to use the phone to speak to patients in order to followup on their communications
  • Must have Intermediate IT skills and be willing to develop these with the role
  • Must have a calm telephone manner.
  • Attention to detail
    Hours - 30 per week Monday to Friday
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: £12.21-£13.34 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Manage patient admin from the new AI appointment system and scheduling to optimise clinic flow.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about services.
  • Ensure that communication between patients and the practice is as up to date as possible by using Facebook, editing the practice website and the waiting room screen
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Coordinate communication between patients and medical staff to facilitate effective care delivery.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
  • Support the implementation of office policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency including updating current systems.
  • Register all new patients onto the clinical system
