We have an exciting opportunity for a Porter/ Patient Support Worker to join the RACE Unit/ Older Persons Assessment Unit based at Poole Hospital.
The Older Persons Assessment Unit is newly refurbished and customised to facilitate 24/7 admissions for our aging community. With capacity for 21 bed spaces, the unit is always bustling and no two days are the same. We are looking for dynamic and passionate person to join our developing team to lead and empower one another in providing quality care to our complex elderly community.
Our aim is to provide all our patients with a comprehensive geriatric assessment upon admission. This approach means our patients receive the right care at the right time. In achieving this we work very closely as a multidisciplinary team.

The Patient Support Worker position will require the staff member to..
assist with transferring patients from ward to ward
assist with transferring patients from ward for scans/ tests/ investigations
maintain stock levels on the ward on a daily basis
maintain the ward cleanliness
support the ward staff where needed.

Any other changes unrelated to this, will be handled in line with Trust/National terms and conditions.
