Here at Med Runner Patient Transfers, we are dedicated to providing quality patient care and comfort in both inter hospital transports and hospital to home / living care transports. Our staff are qualified healthcare providers such as; Canadian Red Cross EMR scope, Paramedics, Nurses and Physicians.

SUMMARY

Being an employee with us, you will be transporting patients either to and from hospitals, or hospital to home. It’ll be your job to transfer patients safely and comfortably.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Either full G class license or F class is required
  • You must be enrolled or have one of the following certificates / diploma’s: EMR (Canadian Red Cross) , Enrolled in a recognized PCP program, have a PCP diploma or higher, must have either a BLS or ALS certificate.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and have great communication skills
  • Must be able to lift 200 lbs between you and a partner
  • Experience in the healthcare field is important
  • Having experience with stair chair and stretcher handling is important, but we do hold in house training regarding proper stair chair and stretcher handling.
  • Having great patient bed side manner is an asset. Creating a passionate environment for all patients we come in contact with is vital.

Responsibilities
  • Transport patients to and from facilities
  • Monitor Patient vitals on route if needed
  • Bed to bed inter hospital transfers
  • Maintain patient comfort and deliver quality patient care.
  • Attend ongoing in house trainings to better your skills in regards to stretcher handling , stair chair handling and in house medical training.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure patient safety.
