As a member of the Patient Care Team, the orderly performs a variety of multi-skilled services house wide including direct patient care and transport. Works under the supervision of an RN, and contributes to meeting the health care, safety, and comfort needs of the patient, and follows all existing regulatory and hospital standards. Reports to the Orderly Team Leader and Manager High school diploma or equivalent; must be able to speak, read and write English; ability to perform duties that require pushing/pulling of stretchers and/or wheelchairs with additional medical equipment. Previously demonstrated interpersonal, communicative and collaborative skills; must be highly organized and able to field numerous requests concomitantly; CPR validation within three months of hire.
