Description
What You Will Do Provides safe efficient transport of patients, equipment, and miscellaneous supplies. Performs transport duties as needed and assist in training new hires. Communicates with other departments to assess their transport needs. Required to interact with patients and customers to ensure patient/Customers’ needs are met. Must be oriented to physical layout of the hospital and locations of patient testing areas. Performs data entry and receives dispatch information via Tele-Tracking System. Must use proper body mechanics for lifting and/or moving patients. Understands and uses the Patient Identification and Alert Process. Must pass fit testing for N95 mask. Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
