Description The purpose of this position is to provide mobile and stationary patrol presence in the community. Primary functions of this position may include patrolling community property such as various buildings and gate access points, assisting in emergency situations and interacting with homeowners and guests regarding community violations. Use computer system to look-up information on residents, log activities and create incident reports. Issues warnings or citations for violations of rules as needed. Observe and report issues needing correction. Performs other duties as assigned. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Patrols community in department vehicles and monitors streets and intersections for violations. Inspects/secures facilities and/or company property. For HOA this would include clubhouses, fitness centers and pools during non-business hours. Welfare checks of residents and property as requested. Assists with emergencies involving members/guests/employees along with local law enforcement. Respond to emergencies and coordinate with local fire and law enforcement. Completes Incident Reports as necessary. Issues citations for speed/stop sign/parking violations and other miscellaneous violations according to HOA Rules & Regulations and/or CC&R’s. Completes any follow-up paperwork as necessary. Requirements Prior law enforcement or security background helpful. Possession of a driver’s license and be in good standing with the state of Arizona. Must be able to be covered under the Association’s auto insurance. CPR, AED and Emergency First Aid Certification (HOA Requirement only). General computer knowledge. Strong interpersonal and mediation skills. Legible handwriting. Ability to operate patrol vehicle.
