Responsible for receiving new patterns and for preparing patterns for shipment/return to customers.   Assists the pattern shop as needed for repairs and maintenance of patterns. Preforms a combination of tasks in the Core department to achieve agreed upon performance levels with respect to job safety, quality, production, cost, housekeeping, and delivery.  Perform all duties within the Core department as required. PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position involves regular: bending and lifting; continuous standing for long periods of time on anti-fatigue mats; pushing, pulling, and carrying of heavy parts and machines repetitively, must be able to use arms, hands, legs and feet in repetitive motions. Must be able to wear required PPE including safety boots, earmuffs/ear plugs, safety glasses, or other PPE as required.    QUALIFICATIONS: Required: * High school diploma or GED.  * Demonstrate high attention to detail * Ability to follow directions and manage priorities * Highly motivated and able to work independently Preferred:  * Previous experience in core making or related machine operation    * Prior foundry or heavy industrial work experience * Problem solving/critical thinking abilities * Good oral and written communication skills KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS: PATTERN COORDINATOR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS: * Maintains a clean and meticulously organized pattern storage area * Pulls patterns for daily production run * Stages patterns on the production floor * Checks patterns for wear items and visual imperfections * Coordinates incoming patterns and storage locations  * Manages pattern returns to active and inactive customers * Collaborates with sales and engineering on pattern locations in the ERP system * Maintains pattern storage documentation. * Assists with basic pattern work and repair as needed in the pattern shop * All other duties as assigned by management COREMAKER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS: * Core machine operation * Core box maintenance, set up and storage * Production of quality cores * Machine operator preventative maintenance * Core filing, dipping and smearing * Use of hand tools as needed for core production * Maintaining a clean and organized work area * Inspection of cores for visual defects * Maintains a clean and organized pattern storage area * All other duties as assigned by management Monday - Thursday 5:00AM - 3:30PM + Overtime, when available.
