Description SUPERVISION RECEIVED This position reports directly to the Pattern Maker. SUPERVISION EXERCISED This position does not directly supervise others. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION Use various tools and equipment to perform body repair on patterns for molds KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Ability to read and understand drawings/blueprints Ability to operate Pattern Shop equipment to repair patterns (bandsaw, table saw, various sanders, hand tools, etc.) Ability to use different fillers to repair patterns from defects or damage Ability to work alone or as a team TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT Steel toe boots Hard hat Safety glasses PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to lift at least 70 pounds Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time Must be able to wear the required personal protective equipment Must be able to work in various temperatures based on outside weather conditions WORK ENVIRONMENT Foundry environment Requirements High school diploma or GED required Must be at least 18 years of age
