Knelsen Sand & Gravel Ltd. is one of the largest construction companies in Northwestern Alberta. Through our commitment to excellence in product and service, we supply project management, gravel, asphalt paving and ready-mix concrete to the needs of our communities throughout Alberta.
We are looking for an experienced Paver Operator to work on our Cold Lake Paving Crew.

Applicants must:

• Be willing to travel with crews, as projects and locations may vary throughout the summer.
• Must be in good physical condition, stamina, and able to meet the demands of the job with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Have the ability to take direction and follow instructions, completing tasks in an efficient manner and to the required standards.
• Able to maintain reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
• Must be able to work long hours in inclement weather.
• Be willing to work flexible hours and overtime.
• Have a reliable source to get to the job site.
• Must have an understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
• Have a positive attitude, self-confident, self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks and priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have a minimum of 1 year experience operating a paver.
• Must have experience operating various types of pavers.
• Must have the ability to think on their own and lay out paving plans for the day.
• Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in various locations.
• Must have a valid class 5 driver’s license.
• Pre-Employment drug screening in effect.
