What We Are Looking For We’re now hiring a Pawspitality Specialist to support our boarding, playcare and retail departments located in Greenfield, MN.  You will be responsible for working as a team in canine and feline kennel management while providing a safe, comfortable, and highly enjoyable stay and play for our furry guests.  We also have a retail area for our customers, where we will provide our lines of KLN Family Brands dog and cat foods, treats, and people treats as well!  If you are looking for a rewarding career and want to work for an organization that is built to give back, you may have stumbled onto the purrrfect opportunity.  Anything is pawsible!   Essential Duties:  * Provide genuine care and a heartfelt experience for each one of our furry guests. * Intake and Pick-up (release) of Canine and Feline guests. 1. Check-in/Pick-Up entry on our PetExec software 2. Guest evaluation (nose to tail, temperament, health & happiness) 3. Discussing add-on items with our Customers (grooming, treats during stay, walks, etc) * Understanding guest behavior and ensuring a safe and comfortable stay. * Periodic guest bio breaks during scheduled and as needed times. * Administering medications to guests as required and requested. * Providing meals for guests, as well as ensuring proper watering. * Kennel cleaning and disinfecting as per schedule/procedure. * Managing the Playcare yard to ensure the guests are in the proper play groups, and having a safe and enjoyable time exercising. * Working as a team, helping our retail, grooming and training areas when needed or as time allows.    Ongoing Duties & Responsibilities * Proactively supports company mission and vision statements and exceeding customer service standards. * Manage facility and ensure animal care services are provided in compliance with company procedures. * Recommend changes as needed to established company and guest policies and procedures, and monitor for effectiveness. * Communicate ideas for expansion (or concerns) related to services we provide to our customers and guests. * Handle client service issue escalations in a manner that maintains company’s reputation. * Maintain proper use of equipment in assigned areas and maintenance as required. * Participate in one-on-one, department, or company meetings with open and honest communication. * Management projects as assigned. * Other duties as assigned   Qualification * High school graduate  * Excellent oral & good written communication skills * Previous work experience demonstrating dependability * 3-5+ years of work experience in animal care industry preferred * Self-motivated, independent worker with attention to detail * Ability to work in a team environment * Good decision and problem-solving skills * Good organization and planning skills * Demonstrated flexibility and proven coping skills * Have a giving-heart, and a genuine love for our canine and feline guests Benefits * Health, Dental, & Vision * Wellness program discounts - up to $150 discounted towards health insurance monthly * 80 Hours of PTO Accrued in First Year of Employment * 7 Paid Holidays * 401k Match Opportunity * Opportunity to meet with our onsite financial advisors * Tuition Assistance *All hires are contingent on a clean background check and a successful drug test (UA), this means that a job offer is not final until both the background check and drug test results are satisfactory to the employer*
